Lava Play Ultra 5G was introduced in India on Wednesday. This new 5G phone from Lava International operates on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor and comes with a maximum of 8GB of RAM. It is available in two colors and features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen. The Lava Play Ultra 5G has a dual rear camera system, with a main 64-megapixel camera. It contains a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W charging. In India, the starting price for the Lava Play Ultra 5G is Rs. 14,999 for the model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the 8GB + 128GB version is priced at Rs. 16,499. It comes in Arctic Frost and Arctic Slate colors. The phone will be sold on Amazon starting August 25. To celebrate the launch, customers can buy the 6GB and 8GB versions of the Lava Play Ultra 5G for Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 15,499, respectively, with a Rs. 1,000 discount available for ICICI, SBI, and HDFC cardholders.
The dual SIM Lava Play Ultra 5G operates on Android 15, and the manufacturer has guaranteed two generations of Android updates and three years' worth of security updates for this device. It features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen that has a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The display is said to cover the full DCI-P3 color space. It runs on a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. At the back, the Lava Play Ultra 5G has a dual camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary camera with a Sony IMX682 sensor and a 5-megapixel macro camera. There is also a 13-megapixel front camera for selfies. The phone offers various photography features such as Night Mode, HDR, Portrait, Beauty, Panorama, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, Filters, Pro Mode, AR Sticker, and Macro photography, among others. The Lava Play Ultra 5G is rated IP64 for resistance to dust and water splashes. The phone is equipped with connectivity options like Bluetooth 5.2, OTG, Wi-Fi 6, and USB Type-C. It also has stereo speakers.
The Lava Play Ultra 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging, which is said to fully charge the device within 83 minutes. The battery is expected to provide up to 45 hours of talk time and around 510 hours of standby time on one charge.
