Nubia Z80 Ultra was announced in China on Wednesday as the newest high-end smartphone from the ZTE brand. This phone boasts a large 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, very quick touch response, and features to protect your eyes. It runs on Qualcomm's newest octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, with options for up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. With a huge 7,200mAh battery, an AI-driven camera system, and great gaming capabilities, the Z80 Ultra promises a full premium experience. The price for the 12GB + 512GB version is set at CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 61,600), while the 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB versions are priced at CNY 5,299 (around Rs. 65,300) and CNY 5,699 (approximately Rs. 70,200), respectively. It comes in Phantom Black and Condensed Light White colors.

At the same time, the 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB models of the Nubia Z80 Ultra Starry Night edition are priced at CNY 5,599 (around Rs. 69,000) and CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs. 73,900), respectively. The Luo Tianyi Limited Edition is offered with 16GB + 512GB for CNY 5,799 (about Rs. 71,400). All models are available for purchase through the ZTE e-store. The Nubia Z80 Ultra features a 6.85-inch 2K (2,688×1,216 pixels) AMOLED display with X10 under-screen luminous materials, a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 2592Hz PWM dimming, a rapid 3,000Hz touch sampling rate, SGS low blue light certification, and AI twilight eye protection. It is driven by Qualcomm's latest octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device runs on Android 16 with MyOS 16. The Red Magic CUBE engine enhances gaming performance, while a unique cooling system featuring composite liquid metal and a large 3D ice steel VC assists in managing heat. Users get professional gaming controls through the Synopsys Touch IC and physical gaming buttons.

The Nubia Z80 Ultra is equipped with the Neovision Taishan AI Imaging 5.0 system. Its camera system includes a 50-megapixel Light and Shadow Master 990 flagship sensor, a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats. It comes with AI features like inspiration filters, composition suggestions, magic advice, Ant perspective, voice guidance, and a physical photo button for convenience. The Z80 Ultra is powered by a 7,200mAh battery, which supports 90W wired and 80W wireless fast charging, along with reverse wireless charging. The phone uses an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for security. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It is said to have IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The phone measures 164.5×77.2×8.6mm and weighs about 227g.
