Coronavirus India: Daily Positivity rate reaches all-time high

The new cases of coronavirus are increasing at a rapid speed in the country. The new cases of coronavirus are said to be 2,58,089 in the last 24 hours which is the highest in the recent times. The new cases are quite high when compared to the tests conducted in India on Sunday. The daily positivity rate is said to be 119.65 percent which is the highest in the recent months. 385 new deaths are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and the total tally of cases in the country climbed to 3,73,80,253. 8209 Omicron cases are reported in India till date as per the update from the Union Health Ministry. There are 16,56,341 active cases of coronavirus in the country and 1,15,740 people recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours in India.

Maharashtra has 1738 cases of the Omicron variant Delhi stands second with 1672 cases. The total death toll in the country climbed to 4,86,451. The active cases comprise of 4.43 percent of the total infections reported in the country and the recovery rate climbed down to 94.27 percent. The weekly positivity rate is said to be 14.41 percent and 157.20 crore vaccine doses are administered in India till date. Several states announced the shut of the educational institutions till the end of this month considering the surge of the new cases. The new cases of coronavirus in Karnataka have doubled in just 3 days and the average positivity rate is 19 percent in Karnataka. Maharashtra, Karnataka, New Delhi, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Kerala and Gujarat are the most impacted states of the country due to the coronavirus.
