Google's newly launched dongle, the Chromecast is making waves everywhere.

This small-sized plug-and-play dongle, launched at a price of $35, lets you stream Internet videos  from your tablet, phone and computer to television through HDMI port.

Talking about the device, Google Head of TV Technology Mario Queiroz said, "The Chromecast is easiest way to bring your favorite online entertainment to your TV."

Google plans to install Chromecast support on their phone and tablet apps too for the convenience of the users. For example, the iPhone or Android YouTube and Google Video apps will get a Chromecast button that will allow you to play that video on TV. Even Mac, Windows and Chrome OS computers with Chrome browsers will have a similar button.

The simplicity and easy functionality of the device together with its lucrative price tag are exciting people all over. Not only that, the device comes with three months free Netflix service, available for both new and existing customers.

This, however, isn't Google's maiden foray into the TV space. Initially, Google had built a TV software for Sony and Samsung. It, nevertheless, failed to make a mark owing to its sluggish performance.

You can buy the Chromecast from all Google Play Stores, BestBuy.com and Amazon.com for $36.
