On November 18, 2024, Nayanthara shared some personal experiences from her life when her documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond The Dreams, was released. However, after Dhanush spoke out against the actress and the filmmakers for using a scene from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, a movie he helped make, without asking, the show received a lot of negative attention. Now, the documentary is facing criticism again for similar reasons, even though it came out several months ago. AP International, who owns the rights to the 2005 movie Chandramukhi, has sent a legal notice to the people who made Nayanthara’s Netflix documentary. The filmmakers are now being accused of using scenes from the actress’s movie with Rajinikanth in her documentary without getting the right permission.
They have also stated that the team disregarded earlier legal notices that cautioned against using the video and asked for it to be taken out of the documentary. In addition, they demanded that they be paid Rs. 5 crore as compensation. The most recent development is that the court has told both Tarc Studious and Netflix to cut the Chandramukhi scene from the documentary. Also, they have to report how much money they made from showing the docu-film, as requested by the producers of the Rajinikanth movie. But Nayanthara hasn't spoken about the problem yet or said anything about it.
